Montclair Police Athletic League, Inc.

Established in 1996 as a not- for- profit 501(c)(3) organization. The Montclair PAL promotes trust, understanding and respect between youth and the police officers. Such respect is beneficial to the youth, the police officers, the neighborhoods, the business community and community leaders. The MPAL seeks to foster and encourage a spirit of loyalty and faith in the American traditions and institutions, to promote the spirit of benevolence, friendship, sociability, goodwill and tolerance; to cultivate and improve the moral and civic standards, to encourage active participation in constructive movements and endeavors for the promotion of the interest and general welfare of the youth of the community; to provide a safe meeting place where the youth may enjoy educational or social benefits and athletic activities under competent supervision.  We continue our mission through our basketball program, summer camp scholarships, Friday Activity Nights, Junior Police Academy, and Police Explorers Program.

The basketball program consists of six (2-girls, 4- boys) teams, fall and spring skills development sessions, and summer camp scholarships. The MPAL youth have served as volunteers in the community serving food to the homeless, and collecting and distributing food to the needy. The Montclair Police Athletic League continues to operate due to the generous donations of our supporters. Donations of time (volunteers) and monetary donations allow us to serve the children of our community.
We need and appreciate your continued support.
